I'd like to sit here on rocks to the side of the east coast rail route and watch the sunrise with my back to the train tracks. Be a glimpse that travellers catch of a person with unknowable purpose who's morning was a hike and a climb - maybe in the dark?! - to be somewhere precarious.Â
They'd wonder why. So do I. What's important or relevant about being seen to be up, watching the day start? I might tell myself it's self-exploratory art or performance of some sort. Or is it just look at me vanity, ego and sad need for validity?
